Many people are shifting from cosmetic injectables and anti-wrinkle treatments to regenerative medicine and wellness, so consider trying Cosmetic Acupuncture!
Cosmetic Acupuncture, also called Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, has its roots in Chinese medicine.
How does it work?
By inserting needles just beneath the skin under wrinkles (repeated expression lines), the acupuncture needle 'lifts the wrinkle,' thereby enhancing blood flow to the area. This controlled microtrauma from the needle promotes the blood's healing properties to have a localized healing effect and may boost collagen production.
During treatment, we also look at muscle tone. Acupuncture may have a stimulating effect on the muscles helping them to 're-engage,' and enhance muscle tone in weak or underutilized muscles . Additionally, acupuncture may also help muscles 'disengage', relaxing them (for overworked facial muscles), resulting in more of a softening effect on wrinkles.
What happens in a session?
We examine your wrinkles and also evaluate your internal health, as your skin reflects your internal condition. Tongue and pulse diagnosis are conducted as in a regular session, and recommendations for lifestyle, diet, and supplements may be provided to support long-term results.
Facial Acupuncture under fine lines:

How many treatments are necessary?
The general recommendation and most effective treatment plan involve 10 weekly sessions. Maintenance varies per individual, with some needing a 'tune-up' every 4-6 weeks or an annual 'mini course' of 5-6 sessions.
When will I see a difference?
Typically, changes are noticeable after around 3 sessions, although enhancements in overall complexion may be observed earlier.
Keep in mind that each session builds on the previous one. Similar to regular acupuncture, it functions through 'accumulative effect', making it crucial to maintain consistency and avoid skipping weeks.
What can you do between sessions?
Avoid overworking your facial lines!Relax your face and choose to minimize stress.
Maintain good skincare! Prefer organic or nonchemical products. Use face masks and scrubs weekly.
Refresh your face and neck first thing in the morning with a hot water cloth compress.
Always apply and cleanse using an ‘upwards motion’.
Ensure proper nutrition and water intake
AND remember, your skin reflects your body's internal state. Good health leads to good skin!
